MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (WJPF) — A Carbondale man will spend the next six years behind bars for Criminal Sexual Assault.

30-year-old Charles Minor pleaded guilty to the felony charge.

In May 2019, police were called to SIH Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for a suspected sexual assault to an unresponsive victim. Prosecutors say Minor sexually assaulted the victim who was unable to understand what was happening.

After his release from prison, Minor with be required to register as a sexual offender.
