HARRISBURG — Sentencing for a former Harrisburg doctor convicted of killing his estranged wife has been postponed for a third time.
61-year-old Brian Burns was found guilty in December of first degree murder and concealment of the death of Carla Burns. Prosecutors claim Burns shot and killed his wife and then burned her body.
Burns was scheduled to be sentenced in February and March. Sentencing is now set for Sept. 8. Tuesday’s sentencing was postponed because Burns’ attorney said he didn’t receive notice.
