Dalton Kitchen has been throwing the shot put since the 6th grade and has had a successful high school career. He has competed at IHSA’s State competition for Track and Field every year since he was a freshman, placing eighth in 2019 as a junior. He competed at Illinois Top Times indoor track finals in 2018 placing eighth and in 2019 he improved, placing third. Dalton was All-Conference in 2017, 2018, and 2019 and All State in 2019.

Dalton holds Pinckneyville High School’s shot put record with a throw of 51’3”. In the fall Dalton will attend Rend Lake College to obtain his Associates Degree in Criminal Justice then plans to continue his education at SIUE to pursue his Bachelor’s Degree.
