PULASKI COUNTY, IL. (WJPF) – Everyone on board a single engine plane was able to walk away without a scratch after an emergency landing on I-57 in Pulaski County.
State Police say the Cessna 150 was on approach to the Cairo Airport just before 8:30 PM Monday when the aircraft experienced an engine failure.
The pair of pilots on board landed the aircraft safely on the interstate. The aircraft was not damaged and no one on the ground was hurt.
Southbound 57 was reduced to one lane for about 2 1/2 hours while the plane was towed back to the airport.
The FAA is now investigating.
