Carbondale Police are investigating the death of a woman inside an apartment complex.

Officers responded to the Carbondale Towers early Friday morning. A 37-year-old woman was trapped inside a mechanical device and when officers arrived, they found the woman dead. She reportedly was in a trash chute.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of family members.
