FRANKLIN COUNTY, IL. (WJPF) — One person is in custody, one recovering in an area hospital following a shooting in Franklin County.

It happened early Wednesday morning in rural West Frankfort.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, 31-year-old Kyle Huetsch has been charged with Aggravated Battery and is being held without bond in the Franklin County Jail pending formal charges.

Also in custody is 32-year-old Brianne Deason. She was arrested for Possession of Meth, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Deason was also taken to the Franklin County Jail pending formal charges.

The name of the victim nor a reason for the shooting has been released.
