The Jackson County Board plans to hold a special session Wednesday to consider re-opening contract talks with a group of county employees.

A union spokesman says if board members overturn their vote on a contract impasse, talks could resume on Thursday with a federal mediator.

The board voted for an impasse last week after talks broke down with the 40 union members.
