MURPHYSBORO, IL. (WJPF) – A Carbondale man will spend the next 15 years behind bars on arson charges.
46-year-old Keelan Bush pleaded guilty to one count of Aggravated Arson.
Prosecutors say in August of 2017, Bush bought a lighter and some gasoline and then used them to light a house on fire on Burke Street in Carbondale. Bush lit a bundle of sticks on fire in the front of the home and lit papers on fire near the rear door.
A citizen saw the flames and called 9-1-1.
The home was occupied at the time. Everyone was able to make it out safely.
