JACKSON COUNTY, IL. (WJPF) – The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office wants to warn the public about a possible telephone scam.
They’re reminding residents that the Sheriff’s Office will never call to inform you that that you owe money for jury duty, have outstanding warrants, or any other fines or fees.
If you receive a call like this, you’re advised to question the caller about the claims or simply hang up.
Legitimate questions about jury duty should be directed to the Jackson County Circuit Clerk’s Office.
