A Murphysboro man has been sentenced to three years in state prison on drug charges.

30-year-old Maurice Barney had previously pleaded guilty to the charges of manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance and possession with intent to sell methamphetamine.

According to the Jackson County State’s Attorneys Office, Barney sold illegal drugs to a confidential source working with law enforcement twice in June of 2017.
