A 13-year-old is in custody, charged with making terrorist threats after police say he threatened to shoot up his school.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, officers became aware of the threat posted to social media Saturday afternoon.

Later that evening, the 13-year-old male was in custody.

The boy is currently being held in the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center pending a court appearance.
