Keith Ritcheson, the Murphysboro man accused of murdering his parents, Burl and Brenda Ritcheson, pleaded not guilty in a court appearance Thursday afternoon.

Investigators say that Keith Ritcheson shot his parents in their home just after midnight on August 14.

He was also the person who called 9-1-1 to report the crime.

His jury trial is set to begin November 27, 2017.
