Du Quoin city leaders will showcase the city’s newly upgraded pool on Friday.

An open house will be held from 5 to 8:30 p.m.

The pool has a new liner, two new diving boards, new skid-free flooring surrounding it and it has been made handicap accessible.

The project cost about $130,000 – and $70,000 of that came from private donations.
