The governor’s Mansion in Springfield will close at the start of 2017 for renovations.

The Executive Mansion was neglected for many years and had fallen into disrepair.

In addition to repairs the mansion will also get an educational visitor’s center.

During the construction, Governor Rauner and his wife Diana will be move into the Agricultural Director’s house at the Springfield Fairgrounds.
