DU QUOIN- The Du Quoin city council is considering implementing a noise ordinance during the day. This proposal follows an incident where police were called twice to a house on Walnut street where a graduation party was taking place, and a DJ was blaring music in the backyard.

No citations or tickets were issued, as sources state that the party noise didn’t necessarily violate the current ordinance.

But Mayor Guy Alongi, along with the city council, is considering a new noise ordinance.
