CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois right-hander Aidan Foeller was selected in the 11th round (Pick 340) of the 2024 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday afternoon. He marks the fourth Saluki taken in the MLB Draft under head coach Lance Rhodes.

A Nesbit, Mississippi product, Foeller finished last season with a 5-3 record and a 4.52 ERA. The righty made 15 starts on the mound for SIU, pitching 77.2 innings. He led the MVC with 105 punchouts and ranked in the top-30 nationally in strikeouts and strikeouts per nine innings (12.17).

His 105 strikeouts this season ranks fourth-best in program history and was the first time a Saluki pitcher surpassed the century mark in strikeouts since P.J. Finigan did so in 2005.

He recorded 12 or more strikeouts on five different occasions and held opponents to a .249 batting average against.

Foeller earned Second Team All-MVC accolades and earned a spot on the MVC All-Tournament Team after pitching 10 innings and striking out 14 batters over two games in Evansville.
