JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) – Police in Jefferson County have made two recent arrests on child pornography charges.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Ryan Taylor, 49, of Mt Vernon, was arrested on Saturday for possession of child pornography.  Anthony Powell, 28, of Opdyke, was arrested on Monday for production of child pornography.

The JCSO says these were separate investigations. However, both investigations were helped by cyber tips made through the internet crimes against children task force.
