JACKSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) Police are investigating the death of a 21 year old in Jackson County.

Early Friday March 15th at 1:45 am, the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call of a man down on Union Avenue in Dowell.

When first responders arrived on scene, they located 21 year old Seth Betts, unconscious and not breathing. He was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the sequence of events that led to his death.
