DUQUOIN, Ill. (WJPF) – A man was killed in DuQuoin after he was hit by a train.

It happened around 1:30 a.m. Monday at the crossing at East Main and Oak Street as the southbound City of New Orleans sped through town.

Police say the 37-year-old man was walking across the tracks when he was hit.
