On Tuesday, Pinckneyville star linebacker and tight end Karsen Konkel decommitted from Illinois.  On social media, Konkel made a short statement to say he was reopening his recruitment.

Konkel chose Illinois this past summer over the likes of Arkansas, Michigan State, Virginia Tech, Boston College, Indiana, and several others.

Konkel is a three star player and the third player to decommit from Illinois from the class of 2024.  He is the #22 prospect in Illinois and the #54 tight end in the country.
