CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A man has been charged with domestic battery after a fight in Carbondale

Carbondale Police say Linza Russell, 62, stabbed a woman around 3:20 p.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of East Jackson Street.  Russell left the scene before police arrived.  He was caught a few minutes later on East Grand Avenue.

The victim was taken to hospital with a serious, but non-life threatening stab wound.  Linza Russell was taken to jail, charged with aggravated domestic battery.
