MT. VERNON, Ill. (WJPF) – A police raid on a Mt. Vernon apartment complex has resulted in one man being arrested on drug charges.

Around 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, police carried out a knock and announce search warrant at at 205 South 6th Street and arrested Zachary Buchman, 46.

Authorities say Buchman had previously sold meth to an undercover detective.  Meth, other controlled substances, and drug equipment were all found inside his home. Zachary Buchman was taken to the Jefferson County Jail on charges of aggravated delivery of methamphetamine (5-15 grams), delivery of methamphetamine (under 5 grams), possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug equipment.
