CARBONDALE, Ill. – Southern Illinois men’s basketball head coach Bryan Mullins announced two changes to his staff full-time staff Wednesday. Justin Endsley has been named Director of Operations and Vince Fritz has been elevated to Assistant Coach after serving as Director of Operations last season.

“I am thrilled to have Justin as part of our staff. He has been a huge piece of our program’s success over the years. He has impacted our program in all different ways,” Mullins said. “Every single day he is improving our culture and helping us compete for championships. He has a very bright future in college athletics.”

Endsley joins the program in a full-time role as Director of Operations in July of 2023. He will be responsible for organizing travel, weekly schedules, camps, and community outreach as well as other duties.

“I am beyond excited to serve as the Director of Operations at SIU. During my last four years here as a manager, I was able to learn so much as well as build wonderful relationships with both athletes and staff,” Endsley said. “I look forward to continuing to build these relationships this season. I can’t thank Coach Mullins for believing in me and giving me this opportunity. I am very excited about this new role, and I cannot wait for this upcoming season.”

Endsley continues his work with the basketball program after spending the previous four seasons as a manager with the program, including being named head manager following his sophomore year. During his time with the Salukis, Endsley worked directly with the coaching staff on a daily basis, oversaw student managers, and assisted with practice setup. He also had a hand in recruiting visits, while also working with other departments within athletics including facilities and academics.

In July of 2022, Endsley was one of just four individuals in the nation to serve as a college host at the National Student Leadership Summit, the governing body of high school sports across the nation.

He is a native of Normal, Illinois, and graduated from SIU in May of 2023 Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in sports administration.
