CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – There’s a new member on the Carbondale City Council.

LaCaje Hill was appointed to fill the vacancy created when councilwoman Carolin Harvey was elected mayor.

According to the city, Hill grew up in Carbondale, has volunteered with numerous organizations, and has helped coordinate food distribution events.
