For the first time in Bryan Mullins’ four years as the head coach of SIU men’s basketball, he’ll be looking for a replacement on his coaching staff. Pat Monaghan was announced as a member of new University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s men’s basketball coach Sundance “Sunny” Wicks’ staff yesterday.
In his four seasons at SIU, Monaghan worked primarily with the bigs and helped develop Marcus Domask.
In the announcement, Monaghan had this to say about UWGB:
“Green Bay has a winning tradition with its basketball program,” Monaghan said. “The support from the community and region is what makes this program unique. I am thankful for the opportunity to join Coach Wicks’ staff while working alongside other successful leaders within the athletic department. Most importantly, taking on the challenge to help our student-athletes develop while reaching team and individual aspirations.”
