CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – A Carbondale man has been arrested after police say he attacked a person.

It happened at about 10:45 p.m. Sunday in the parking lot of a business in the 1400 block of East Main Street. Carbondale Police say David Knickerbocker, 51, was not provoked. The victim was treated and released from a local hospital.

Knickerbocker was arrested shortly after the attack and taken to jail on a charge of aggravated battery.
