John A. Logan women’s basketball continued to reload for the upcoming 2022-23 season with a pair of commitments last week. The Lady Vols picked up commitments from Shmyira Brown from Arkansas and Kennady Hayes, a Mt. Vernon native.
Brown, a 5’7 point guard, graduated high school in 2021. She played for Forrest City High School, as well as the NEA Bandits.
Hayes, a 5’8 guard, is a graduate of the 2022 class. She played both point guard and shooting guard and led the Mt. Vernon Rams to a 24-6 record this past season, including a regional title.
The Vols also brought on Alivia Hartman earlier this month, a 5’8 guard. She is originally from New Madrid, MO. This past season she played a limited role for Florida Southwestern State College.
