CHICAGO, Ill. (WJPF) – Ameren say two projects upgrading natural gas distribution in the area are planned for this spring and summer.
In Carbondale, about 7 miles of pipeline will be replaced between East Walnut and Grand. The $4.5 million project impacts about 420 customers and should be completed by the end of this year.
In Williamson County, work is scheduled to begin next month upgrading 7 miles of pipeline stretching from Marion to Johnston City. That project is expected to cost about $31 million and should be finished by September.
