JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — Police in Jefferson County are searching for a man wanted on kidnapping charges.
Police say they were called at about 4:30 p.m. Monday after a woman jumped out of a moving vehicle in Ina. The 22-year-old woman was taken to Mt. Vernon hospital with serious injuries, consistent with domestic battery.
Police are now looking for the woman’s boyfriend, twenty-eight-year-old Elijah Tiggens of Berwyn, Illinois. It’s believed he’s driving a blue 2006 Chevy Cobalt with Illinois license plate # BLN501. Tiggens is facing charges of Unlawful Restraint and Kidnapping.
Anyone with information on Tiggens’ whereabouts is asked to call the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at (618) 244-8004.
