MARION, Ill. (WJPF) — Marion Police have identified the person whose arrest Friday night was captured on video.

The bystander video, which has been shared on social media, started an investigation of the officers involved for excessive use of force.

Police say Jeramey Brown, 22, of Benton was arrested on charges of Disorderly Conduct, Battery, and Resisting Police Officers.

Kyle Rice, 23, of Herrin was also arrested Friday night for Disorderly Conduct and Criminal Trespass to a Building.

Police were originally called to the area after reports of a man throwing bottles from a rooftop to the street below. Police say Rice was the person throwing the bottles.
