Marion remains the top ranked team in the Southern Illinois Football Coaches Poll but for the first time in the history of the poll one coach abstained from handing out a first place vote.
After sitting at #3 for two straight weeks, Benton finally cracked through to #2 in the rankings, having outscored opponents 137-0 in their first three games of the season.
Despite an 0-3 start to the season, Carbondale remains in the top 10. They tumble from #6 to #9.
Despite not having a game last week, Carterville moved up from #7 to #6.
Du Quoin is booted from the Top 10 and Cahokia takes their place.
