SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — A 31-year Navy Veteran has been chosen by Governor JB Pritzker to be the next Director of the State Department of Veteran’ Affairs.

Terry Prince most recently served as Superintendent of the Ohio Veterans’ Homes where he oversaw three facilities, including the nation’s fifth largest skilled nursing home and an independent living community.

Prince’s background also includes working as an advisor to the Surgeon General of the Navy.
