WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — One person was hurt in a single vehicle crash Sunday in Williamson County.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. on Illinois Route 166 near Free Silver Lane.

Illinois State Police say 32-year-old Christopher Deaton, of Stonefort, was northbound on 166 when he left the roadway, drove through a ditch, and hit a tree.

Deaton was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He was cited by police for improper lane usage, illegal transportation of alcohol, and operating an uninsured vehicle.
