CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police are investigating a report of shots fired.

Just after 5:00 p.m. Monday, police were called to the 400 block of East Jackson Street. Police say shots were fired from gold or tan colored Mercedes. A tree in front of a home was hit by bullets.

No injuries were reported.
