PADUCAH, Ky. (WJPF) — The man accused of stealing nearly $25,000 from a Paducah barbecue charity event has pleaded guilty to a theft charge.

David Boggs was an organizer of Barbecue on the River.

Boggs was reported missing in November 2018. Police say after taking the money, he hitchhiked to South Carolina and spent six months living in the woods. He was arrested in South Carolina in May.
