GORHAM, Ill. (WJPF) — A Jackson County man will spend the next 15 months behind bars after violating the probation he received on a possession of a controlled substance charge.
In October 2018, police were called to a home in Gorham for a reported domestic battery. Officers found Jacob Clutts, 38, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs. While talking with police, a syringe fell out of Clutts’ pocket. Police later found pills and a small amount of methamphetamine on his person.
Clutts pleaded guilty to possession of a controlled substance and was placed on 24 months probation. According to the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Clutts failed to comply with the terms of the probation and it was later revoked.
