Health departments in Southern Illinois reported nearly 30 new cases of Covid-19 on Sunday. The new cases were in Franklin, Jackson, Saline, White and Williamson counties.

Jackson County had the most new cases with 13, followed by Williamson County with 10.

Illinois health authorities are reporting 2,806 new confirmed cases and an additional 23 deaths. Over 8,000 people have died since the start of the pandemic in Illinois.
