Williamson County continues showing an upward trend in the number of coronavirus cases.

The county reported 18 new cases on Sunday, including 10 females and eight males. New cases were also reported in Franklin, Jackson and Saline counties.

The Illinois Department of Public Health reported nearly 2,000 new cases this weekend and the state’s death toll now exceeds 8,000.
