CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) — Five people have been arrested in connection to armed robbery last week in Carbondale.

Around 1:45 p.m. Wednesday, police responded to the 700 block of East Main Street. The victim told police they had been hit with a gun and robbed.

Five suspects, residents of Marion, Carbondale, and Herrin, were found by police in the 400 block of South Wall Street.

All five were taken to the Jackson County Jail on armed robbery charges. Two suspects had outstanding warrants in Pope and Franklin County.
