Monday it was revealed that a Du Quoin student-athlete has tested positive for COVID-19.  As a result, the athletic department has put a pause on all Du Quoin athletics for the week.

“We are evaluating the situation and will keep our student-athletes’ safety as our top priority,” Du Quoin athletic director Derek Beard says.

The news came on the same day that IHSA member school could begin sport-specific drills and increase gatherings to 50 individuals, the Indians will have to hold off on those plans for at least a week now however after the positive test.
