DU QUOIN, Ill. (WJPF) — The 2020 Du Quoin State fair has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

Governor JB Pritzker will issue an Executive order cancelling the Du Quoin State fair as well as the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.

Accodring to a Friday press release, 2020 will mark the first time the Du Quoin State Fair has been cancelled since the State took over the grounds in 1986.

The 2021 Du Quoin State Fair is scheduled for August 27th-September 6th. The 2021 Illinois State Fair in Springfield will run from August 12th-August 22nd.
