HARRISBURG, Ill. (WJPF) — The Shawnee National Forest reopens the majority of it’s campgrounds and restrooms Thursday.

A full list of open areas can be found on the forest’s website or Facebook page.

Visitors are asked to stay as local as possible when choosing a part of the forest to visit. And as always, to pack out everything they bring in, especially trash.
