SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (IRN) — A bill with growing bipartisan support at the Illinois statehouse would give a tax credit to foster parents. House Bill 5119 would give a credit of up to $1,000 for foster care expenses.
State Rep. Mark Baticick said it’s a bill that would make a difference for the families who are foster parents.
The bill has bipartisan support, but is in the House Rules Committee.
