FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — A loose cell phone is being blamed for a crash io Interstate 57 Saturday night that shut down both northbound lanes of traffic.

It happened around 8:10 PM near the Benton/West City exit.

State Police say the driver of a tractor trailer dropped his cell phone. While attempting to find it, he lost control of the truck and rolled the 18-wheeler.

The driver was not injured.
