CARBONDALE, IL. (WJPF) — The identity of a woman found dead inside the trash chute of a Carbondale apartment building has been released. The cause of death is still under investigation.

Carbondale Police have identified the victim as 37-year-old Kristin Duncan of Murphysboro.

Duncan’s body was discovered around 2:00 AM Friday at Building A of the Carbondale Towers.

The investigation is currently active and ongoing.
