WILLIAMSON COUNTY, IL (WJPF) – A Johnston City man has been killed in an ATV rollover accident.

It happened Sunday afternoon on private property in rural Williamson County.

According to the Williamson County Coroner’s Office, it’s believed that 60-year-old Tim Grounds was on the ATV spraying weeds when he overturned and rolled down a small embankment.

When Grounds did not return home, friends went looking for him and found his pinned under the ATV.

The accident remains under investigation.
