WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (AP) – A lawyer for the now defunct Morthland College says part of a political memorabilia collection that once belonged to Congressman Ken Gray is missing.
Gray’s widow gave the collection the college two years ago.
A college attorney says that the building storing the collection was broken into earlier this year, but he didn’t know what was taken.
Gray’s widow says she saw men moving items from the building in August. She says she took Gray’s bow tie, passport, and some other things from the trash but doesn’t know what happened with rest of the collection.
