BELLEVILLE, IL (WJPF) – Illinois Congressman Mike Bost, who’s seeking a third term in Washington, has dropped out of a planned television debate.
The Bost campaign cites scheduling conflicts and unhappiness with the debate format.
The October 16th town hall style debate is scheduled to take place at Lindenwood University. The event would be open to the public, but tickets would be required. The Bost campaign says they’re worried about possible interruptions from the audience.
Also happening on October 16TH is a Veteran’s Honor Flight, which in the past, Bost has greeted in Washington.
Democrat Brendan Kelly and Green Party Candidate Randy Auxier say they’re committed to the debate.
