Testimony continued today in the trial of a Murphysboro man accused of killing his parents.

The murder trail of Keith Ritcheson began Tuesday at the Jackson County Courthouse.

Ritcheson is accused of killing his parents at their home, where the son also lived.

Ritcheson told the court during the first day of testimony that he left to go to a convenience store and found his parents dead 20 minutes later inside their home.

Police recovered .22 caliber casings and .410 gauge shotgun shells at the scene.
