JEFFERSON COUNTY, IL (WJPF) – An Energy man will spend the next fourteen years behind bars for causing a fatal DUI crash.

26-year-old Cole Stevens was under the influence and behind the wheel when he crossed the median on Interstate 57 near Ina in June of 2017 and hit a jeep being driven by 18-year-old Emma Caserotti head on.

Caserotti was killed in the wreck. A passenger, Tristen Sharp, suffered a broken neck and a brain injury.
